Save the Date! ARE YOU READY?
Premiere! On 14 August 2021 at 6pm we will celebrate this with ARE YOU READY? as part of the European Street Theatre Festival BILDSTÖRUNG in Detmold. On 15 August 2021 we will play again at 17:00. A preview is scheduled for 30 July 2021 at the Kulturamt in Bielefeld.
TheatreFragile - ARE YOU READY? - An encouraging mourning ritual in 5 acts for the public space.
Climate change is now!
There is a gap between what we know and what we do.
And when we act, what do we achieve?
With a ritual performance in the marketplace, TheatreFragile paves a way out of this contradictory position: with song, dance, physical theatre and mask play, 5 performers invite the audience to live through denial, anger, negotiation, grief and acceptance.
ARE YOU READY? is a joyful hopeful act that takes the audience with it - from the experience of loss into a communal surge.
Voices of people committed to climate protection or talking about their inner conflicts are heard through voice collages and songs. The choir, which falls silent because of Corona, starts moving despite the silence. The masks conjure up the archetypal figures of Gaia and women from all continents who fight tirelessly for change.

ARE WE READY? a film by Sahra Huby
The rehearsals for our current creation "ARE YOU READY?" were interrupted due to the Corona Pandemic, as many projects and especially cultural ones. Sahra Huby, who is part of the team of the project, drew our experiences, with recordings of the rehearsals and music by Janko Hanushevsky and created this beautiful stop-motion film from them.
Bags and shirts as a thank you for donations
TheatreFragile works freely and in public space, always with free admission. Therefore our work lives from your support in addition to the project-related funding. Since June 2019 we are a non-profit limited company. Therefore your donations to us are deductible.
For all donations of 50€ or more we would like to return the favour with a small thank you. There will be Haute Couture by TheatreFragile in September 2020 - shirts and bags will be re-printed with a neon yellow collage of all the plays! You can choose if you want a bag or a shirt. By doing so, you will not only help us to get over the dry spell, but you will also contribute to TheatreFragile getting among the people!
Information about donations, shirts and bags can be found here.
The new play: ARE YOU READY?
The rehearsals for our new production have started! We are looking forward to an intensive time in which we will deal with change processes in the context of climate change.
What sets us in motion, what emotions paralyse us? How do we deal with our powerlessness, the courage to change, hopelessness and the search for connection?
ARE YOU READY? is a played and sung performance for public space with 6 players, 70 cardboard blocks, masks and participating choirs.
We are excited and full of anticipation!
We need your help! Crowdfunding TheatreFragile
You may have noticed that the last few years at TheaterFragile have been a bit quieter. Significant changes among individuals have slowed down the wheels of TheaterFragile. In addition, the order situation was difficult due to the economic situation. That's why we turn to you today for help!
A non-profit GmbH foundation, new productions and projects are approaching us. This time we can not do this alone, and not just through subsidies. Each post is a great help along the way.
After 12 years, we turn to our viewers and fans for support and start a crowdfunding on the GoFundMe platform.

VISIONS OF LIFE IN GRAZ
Bringing together young people from various different cultures through the art of sculpture and mask theatre: “Visions of Life“ is a concept by Samson Ogiamien, a Nigerian-Styrian artist, who wants to give young people the chance to express their visions and voice through art.
Together through a series of workshops the youth will produce masks and bring to them to life through the help of Stefanie Oettl and director-duo Marianne Corniel and Luzie Ackers of “TheatreFragile”. The public space will be the stage to play and explore– previously the masks were rigid; we see them come to life through subtle and quick encounters played out by the workshop participants. Through this process and play, roots and stories will be understood and visual memories will be explored. A sharing of a common experience.
